At Hicool, we are proud to share the success story of a recent adiabatic evaporative air conditioning facility in an industry dedicated to the manufacture of corrugated cardboard and cardboard packaging of 3500 m2 in France. This project stands out not only for the improvement in working conditions, but also for its positive impact on the company’s energy consumption.
The process of making paper and cardboard generates a large amount of heat, especially in corrugating machines. These extreme conditions affected the comfort and safety of the staff, who needed to work in an environment with a temperature below 27 ºC. The low relative humidity in the machine area was not a concern, but the need for an effective heat-fighting solution was urgent.
Our team carried out an exhaustive study of the facilities and designed a personalized proposal to address this problem. The key to success was the implementation of a zonal air conditioning system, focused on specifically cooling the work areas most affected by heat.
The solution implemented consisted of the installation of eight ecological industrial evaporative air conditioners, Hi20 on the roofs of the warehouses. These ecological air conditioners are equipped with the advanced control system, which allows the temperature to be regulated precisely in each workplace.
Thanks to this solution, a notable decrease in temperature in critical areas was achieved, significantly improving the comfort and safety of employees. In addition, being an ecological and efficient solution, the energy consumption of the company was also reduced.
At Hicool, we are committed to offering sustainable and efficient air conditioning solutions. This case of success in the carton and packaging industry in France is a clear example of how our solutions can transform work environments, improving both productivity and well-being of employees.

No. It is a sustainable system with very low energy consumption and spends up to 80% less than an A/C. For example, for an area of 200 m2 the approximate consumption is 960 W at maximum speed.
between 7 ºC and 20 ºC less than that of outside air. It will depend on the daily weather conditions, mainly on the outside air temperature and its humidity. The hotter and drier the day, the more the evaporative air conditioners will cool down.
Yes, because an overpressure is generated that causes the cold air introduced to leave through the doors and open windows, Renewing the air, eliminating odors and preventing dust from entering the outside.
No, since its maintenance is minimal, due to the automation, they incorporate the equipment, such as an electrolytic detector of water quality, automatic and programmable drainage or automatic duct closure.
The installations are very fast, they would have the operating equipment in a short time and with their capabilities at 100%.
