At Hicool, we are proud to share the success story of a recent adiabatic evaporative air conditioning facility in an industry dedicated to the manufacture of corrugated cardboard and cardboard packaging of 3500 m2 in France. Problem: Extreme heat in the manufacturing process
The process of making paper and cardboard generates a large amount of heat, especially in corrugating machines. These extreme conditions affected the comfort and safety of the staff, who needed to work in an environment with a temperature below 27 ºC. The low relative humidity in the machine area was not a concern, but the need for an effective heat-fighting solution was urgent.
ACTION: STUDY AND PROPOSAL OF SOLUTION
Our team carried out an exhaustive study of the facilities and designed a personalized proposal to address this problem. The key to success was the implementation of a zonal air conditioning system, focused on specifically cooling the work areas most affected by heat.
Solution: Evaporative air conditioners with system
The solution implemented consisted of the installation of eight ecological industrial evaporative air conditioners, Hi20 on the roofs of the warehouses. These ecological air conditioners are equipped with the advanced control system, which allows the temperature to be regulated precisely in each workplace.

- Coverage: +250 m²
- Power (cold): 22 kW
- Structure: Polypropylene injected + fiberglass with UV protection treatment
Thanks to this solution, a notable decrease in temperature in critical areas was achieved, significantly improving the comfort and safety of employees. In addition, being an ecological and efficient solution, the energy consumption of the company was also reduced.
